So the latest buzz
in this household over this past week was my little boy BEGGING to make some s'mores. We have a small firepit in our backyard and for some odd reason, he got this idea in his mind that we needed to roast marshmallows THIS week. Visions of
roasting by the fire were engrained on his mind. So tonight was going to be the night. The night that...
Everything was set out and ready to go when this appeared in the sky...
and the rain began to pour! "Oh no!" he cried. "Mom, isn't there anything we can do?" I said, "Sure,
And isn't that true? We moms always have to come up with a plan B. Sometimes even C or D. :) So I got my cute
in the kitchen, and we decided to make s'mores in the microwave! It was so cool! I mean, have you ever seen a marshmallow blow up so big after 15 seconds?? It was great!Smacked the graham cracker, marshmallow, and chocolate together, and you had a kid who was on
9! Hallelujah!
and
And we ended up with the end result of a lovely plate of microwaved s'mores.Plan B's work out just fine. :)
Tell me about your plan B when things haven't gone exactly as planned!

dun-ta-daaaa....Mom to the rescue....the only lady on earth with super human powers....able to perform with super strength at the blink of an eye! - LOL
ReplyDeleteOh Kris, what an awesome save (plan B). It is good to know that your little one didn't have to go to bed with as many tears on his face as rain drops on the ground.
So glad Plan B worked out-it's so hard when they set their hearts on something and then are so disappointed if it doesn't happen. Very clever of you to think of the microwave-great ideas! Love how you told the story through the embroidery designs :)
ReplyDeleteIf I had a machine, I'd make the campers have s'more fun for all the girls we camp with-I love that one!
Way to think on your feet! And cute story with all of those SWAK images. You're just too clever!
ReplyDeleteI love your rebus story using SWAK designs! How clever and fun. Wow you guys must have a huge library of choices!
ReplyDeleteNow you've made me hungry for s'mores...and I don't need a campfire! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteCute Story!
Hi Kris. What a good improviser you are. I bet he was just as happy with microwave s'mores. How fun! Makes me anxious for hot summer weather and cool summer nights with a bonfire.

Cute post!!!! :) My last plan B was the Easter egg hunt I had planned for my daughters and all their little friends. First, the moms called to say that the older kids were off school for the day so I decided that they could be my "egg hiders." THEN we woke up and it was pouring down rain/lightning/thundering. Sooo...we printed some Easter coloring pages from online, played "The Easter Bunny Says" (instead of Simon Says), and had the hunt indoors. FUN! Taught me flexibility! :)
ReplyDeleteADORABLE!!!!!
