Doesn't this picture just make you smile? It's officially summer vacation around here and my children couldn't be more excited! And I'm actually pretty thrilled about it as well...a time to relax a little more, play a little more, stay up a little longer, and have fun. Now ask me in a month and I'm going to say, "WE NEED A SCHEDULE AGAIN!" But for now, "no-schedule" is just fine with me. :)
Can anyone relate?
My Top 10 List for the Summer
1. Day trips with the kids- library, museum, parks, ice cream
2. Sprinklers and watergun fights
3. Work in the garden
4. Road trip to Colorado
5. Design embroidery for fall and winter holidays
6. Read a good book. Any suggestions?
7. Clean out and organize much-needed closets, drawers, etc.
8. Watch tee-ball games, a tennis tournament, & swimming lessons
9. Plan a couple of weekend camping trips
10. Make a picnic blanket....and use it....A LOT. :)
What are your plans for the summer?

ReplyDeleteI love the items on your list. Your summer sounds like it will be great fun! (I want to road-trip to Colorado too! Can I sneak into your suitcase?)
ReplyDeleteLove your list!!!! :) I need to do one too (if I do, I'll be sure to link to you) ;) A list would keep me motivated. The year is an endless stretch of time for me...girls are too little for it to really be a summer "break," and T never takes off work, so we don't really ever go anywhere. Fun, huh? ;)
ReplyDeleteHappy summer! I loved your list. Your road trip sounds fun. And I love picnics and picnic food - yum!

ReplyDeleteIf you're making a picnic blanket on wood frames boy do I have a tool for you!! I bought it down at the HQMS quilt show. It puts the thumb tacks in so easy and pulls them out without the struggle and ache and pain to your fingers!! Best $$ I ever spent! Have a great summer!
