Spring is HERE?

I do love where I live.

I really, really, really do.

But when one day you go from this...

and this...

to THIS...

...I tend to scratch my head.

We'll embrace it I suppose! Spring will come back! :)

Make Unique Platters for Entertaining!

Yesterday I filmed a quick little "2nd Helping" for The DIY Dish since we just did a review of the brand-new Cricut Cake. (BTW, I hope you've gone over there to sign up for the giveaway!)

In celebration of cakes, we thought it would be fun to show a VERY SIMPLE idea of making your own decorative platters with items you may already have on hand, or even pick up at at the next garage sale or at your local 2nd hand store.

EASY. INEXPENSIVE. STILL SO CHIC.

Take a look!

I'm participating in the Weekend Wrap-Up at Tatertots and Jello!

I Love Myself a Good Quilt Shop

When you love fabric as much as I do, the "radar" goes on as soon as I enter any new town or city. One of my first thoughts is, "I wonder where the nearest quilt shop is..."

To some, that may seem very odd.

And to others, you get it. You are my people. :)

I'm not sure exactly what it is. There's just something special about a quilt shop- the charm, the ambiance. And though some may argue that all may carry fabric, trust me...no two quilt shops are created equal.

Can anyone relate? :)

Several weeks ago, I got to visit one of my favorites- Cornwagon Quilt Company. It's absolutely lovely, and so very inspiring.

I found some amazing fabric from one of my favorite fabric designers, Paula Prass.

And this entire fabric line came home with me to make this...

...which inspired me to make this...

Isn't the inspiration cycle from point A to point B to point C wonderful?
